Our story technically started back in high school, when we knew of each other but were never really friends. We went our separate ways, built our own lives, and never imagined that years later we’d reconnect in the most unexpected way. One random Thursday, Makenzie impulsively decided it was the perfect time to paint her dressers. She walked into the paint store for supplies, and who was behind the counter? Matthew. What could’ve been just another quick errand turned into a conversation, and that conversation sparked something neither of us saw coming. From that day on, things just clicked. What started with small talk became hours of laughter, dates, and building a bond that felt like it was meant to be. Along the way, Matthew also got to know Bentley—Makenzie’s pride and joy. Watching their relationship grow has been one of the sweetest parts of our story. Seeing Matthew step into the role of not just a partner, but also a dad, has made this journey even more meaningful. Now, with a love that feels like home and a future we’re so excited to keep building together, we can’t wait for 09.19.26—the day we get to celebrate with all of you as we officially say “I do.”
